The Weekend Before Take Off

Whether the best way to prepare for a long flight and 5 weeks off the booze is to spend 4 consecutive nights in Mulligans may not have been the best of ideas. The combination of those brilliant musicians called Kayna, good craic, brilliant Guinness and England beating those French gits in the 6N rugby had all the makings of a good, long, entertaining weekend and it most certainly was.....however, a bit of a dodgy stomach, a lack of quality sleep and leaving too much to do too late was my own downfall.

I feel a bit guilty having left far too much for Barry to do in preparation for my tenants who will be renting my place out in Amsterdam while I am away. Sorry Bazzy! It was tough saying goodbye to him at the airport, part of me didn't want to get on the plane, 5 weeks is a very long time to be away from him and I'm going to miss him an awful lot. (How am I doing?)
